So instead, an update in the kids, along with some pictures from my phone.
This is what Piper looks like when she doesn't get her way. She definitely has the toddler mindset--I know what I want and I want it NOW!!

Her hair is getting so long! I can get most of it into a ponytail.

She is saying lots of animal sounds now. How she "meows" for a cat is adorable. She is very opinionated. She won't let us put the tray on the highchair, so now she's pulled up to the table. She also picks out her own plate, spoon, and cup. She's also in to purses and shoes! She wore a pretty pink pair to bed the other night. She's showing off her shoes and Isaac's showing his new Spiderman jammies.

The kids get along really well, most of the time. Isaac smothers his sister with kisses. And it's very obvious that she looks up to him; we can see her mimic him in how she plays. Bath time is my favorite time with the kids. They got some colored bath fizzies that turn the water color. Most nights they are in there until their fingers shrivel up like raisins! I asked Piper to say "cheese" and this is what they did! I think they're used to the camera and Mommy taking pictures!

Isaac has grown up so much this past month; both physically and developmentally. I'm starting to put away 4T pants--some of them look like he's waiting for a flood! Can't believe I am taking out size 5 clothes! His attention span is longer and we are able to work on his preschool activity books. He is great at tracing shapes, coloring inside the lines, and we're now working on letters. He is a polite kid and answers"I sure will" or "I sure can" when we ask him to help us! We were at a mall recently that had a kids play area. I don't usually pay money for those rides, but he REALLY wanted to ride the horse.

Some days seem really long, when the kids are whiney or overtired. And it's been so cold lately that I haven't let them play outside. But when it's easy to get frustrated, I'm learning to stay in the present--practicing mindfulness, and seeing life from their perspective. It helps me stay calm and hopefully, be a better mom. I am so grateful for these two kids that sometimes make me want to pull my hair out! But being present, taking a deep breath, and thanking God for all I have been given, helps.
