Ultrasound

We had an ultrasound of baby #2 on Wednesday. First and foremost, although I feel this baby bump is growing much quicker than it did with Isaac, I was very reassured to see that there was only ONE baby in there! The tech we had was great. She'd point out body parts and giggle with us when the baby would move. I would feel the baby kick, and then a second later you could see the kick on the screen. Eddy and I both felt that we saw things more clearly than we did with the ultrasound of Isaac. And no, we did not find out the sex! You'll just have to wait 20 more weeks to find out!

Here's a side profile (head on the right, butt on the left, left arm on the bottom, and the legs bending up the left side)

This is the top of the head, with the hand in a fist by its mouth

The baby weighs 12 ounces and baby's size correlates to my due date of June 24. I had an OB appointment on Friday. I got confirmation that everything on the ultrasound is ok. Heart rate is in the 140s and I'm measuring right at 19 weeks. Isaac was with me, so it was fun to see his head turn quickly and his ears perk up when he heard the baby's heartbeat. He said a phrase we'be been hearing often: "what's that noise?".

Great ultrasound pictures! And good for you on waiting until the delivery to find out what the baby is, it's one of those great moments in life to hear, "It's a girl!", or "It's a boy!"
