She's Here!!

Yep. Not only are we a family of four 10 days earlier than we expected, but we have a daughter! Piper Isabelle made her appearance Sunday June 14 at 1:12pm. She weighed 6 pounds 11.5 ounces and was 20.5 inches long. Our birth story:

First contraction was at 2am Sunday morning and started getting more regular around 5am. I went downstairs to do some laundry and watch tv while deciding if this was real labor or not. Eddy's dad called at 7:30 to say that Eddy's brother and wife had their baby girl just before 1 am (yep--two Morgan girls born on the same day!). I went upstairs to tell Eddy the news and said "I think we might have a baby today". His cool, calm response was "ya think so?". Nothing phases him! Contractions continued to get stronger and closer together, so Eddy's dad came to get Isaac about 9:30. Eddy was great and got me some food and started to help me breathe through the contractions. About 11:30 they really started to get strong, so we called the hospital shortly after and were in the car at 12:20. We got up to the OB floor about 12:40 and was having really strong contractions. My water broke just before 1pm and I remember telling Eddy I wasn't going to be able to do this anymore. The nurse checked me and said the baby was "right there" and put on her call light. I remember her saying something like "I need help here. I don't have anything set up in this room". The resident came in, I pushed twice, the OB doctor came in and I pushed one more time and Piper was here. She's absolutely perfect. I love our birth story and we are thrilled to be a family of four.
