Adulthood

A few weeks ago we had an appliance guy come out to the house to see if our dryer was worth fixing. It is REALLY loud when it starts, and then usually quiets down. But we wanted to be proactive and take care of it before it completely broke. Turns out it needs a new motor, which is about $275. So we might as well buy a new one. And if we're going to buy a new dryer, we might as well get a new set. And we also had him look at our freezer door, which needs a new part of the hinge. (reminds me of "If You Give a Mouse A Muffin" book). A couple weeks ago when my parents were here, they watched the kids while I went appliance shopping. Then after some more research Eddy and I started our date night last weekend by buying a new set. How romantic!

They were delivered yesterday. Ended up getting a high efficiency top loader and a dryer with a top-down door...both of which I am excited about. Oh the things that make me happy...
