Piper got what she REALLY wanted, disposable diapers for her baby!

Santa brought a "real" bow and arrow (not like the kid-size one we bought)!

Santa brought Piper a microphone and stand.

She's showing off the "rocker girl" outfit we got her, along with the gloves and microphone Santa brought!

We went to a new church, which was really nice. I've been to two different churches so far. One I don't feel the need to try again, and another has been ok, but not great. This third church is one town over, about a 12-15 minute drive. The music was wonderful. Over the course of the service, there were two trumpets, two trombones, tympani, xylophone, drum set, upright bass, baby grand piano, electric keyboard, soprano saxophone, organ, and three-part choir. Music during church has always been really important to me. The people we encountered all seemed genuinely happy and were welcoming. The church even had a coat closet (What?? In a Catholic Church??? Are we there long enough to even take our coats off?!?)! On the downside, I'm concerned that the kids won't have anyone they know in their Sunday school classes. That happened to me the two years I lived in SW Minnesota, and I don't have fond memories of it. I plan on calling the church office to see what the demographics are. Maybe, just maybe, we've found a church.
The rest of the day was rather I eventful. We spent a good part of the day getting ready for Eddy's family....12 extra people who would be descending on our house tomorrow......
