Isaac opened a kid-size bow and arrow....

Piper got an American Girl Bitty Baby and some accessories to go with it.

They were both excited about their new toys!

Piper quickly wanted to play "honey" (aka, she's the mom and I'm the kid).

After dinner we got our pjs on to open the rest of the presents.

The kids got an electric drum...

...and he got ANOTHER Nerf gun!

She got an arts and crafts center FULL of art supplies....

....and her own computer!

The kids got Power Ranger costumes.

And we got Piper a robe so she had one to go in and out of the hot tub.

And Uncle Rich and Aunt Mona gave Isaac a Red Sox hat.

We had talked with the kids about paring down a little--as they've gotten older their toys have gotten more expensive. So we explained to them that we'd rather get them things that they'd really like, than lots of little things they might not love. They certainly did not seem deprived. They had enough gifts to open. And we probably spent the same amount of money. But getting them the few things we knew they would love was really fun to watch!
