The To-Do List & A Carnival

Now that Eddy's season is over (although, I should say recruiting is in full-swing), it's time to get The To-Do List out. This is the list of stuff I'd like to have done before the baby comes. Ambitious? Yes, but dang it, we're going to do our best! Eddy made great headway today--fixed the handle on a toilet, made a dump run, put in a new door knob to the garage, and started organizing the garage (that's going to be a 2-person job).

I tried being all "Design on a Dime" and spray paint the curtain rod in the baby's room. Well, I went to spray a second coat this morning and the paint bubbled. So on our run to Home Depot/Wal-Mart today, we got a new white rod. Should have been easy to change out, right? Wrong. How come everything takes so much more time than you anticipate?

Also on the list was for me to make a valence for Isaac's room. I ended up buying another set of bedsheets (the same ones as are on his bed). Eventually I'll make a bedskirt out of the material, too. Well, I went from "I'll get to the valence eventually", to "it has to get done right now". Combination type-A personality and nesting?!

We woke Isaac up from his nap to take him to the PBS Kids Club Carnival this afternoon. There was face painting, food, firetruck/police care, carnival-type blow-up activities, pictures with PBS characters, and a parade. Kids were encouraged to wear costumes, so we made use of the halloween costume.

One of the games the kids could do was go in a blow-up contraption that had balloons in it that blew all over the place. Isaac had a blast!
