Big News

So....we're moving to Milwaukee! Eddy was named the head coach of Concordia University Wisconsin's baseball team. He will be a full time (no other duties besides coaching!) coaching position. The Falcons play on the same field as the Lakeshore Chinooks--Kapco Park is a one year old stadium with 1500 seats, artificial turf, and lights (aka, a million times better than what is at UWS). There are a lot of expectations of him, but a lot of opportunity as well. The athletic director wants him to go after top-notch recruits and knows it will cost money to do that.

So, our summer is looking a lot different than we had planned. Our trips to Milwaukee to visit Eddy and watch the Chinooks will also be spent looking for a house, school, and a job for me.

Eddy and I were able to FaceTime to tell the kids yesterday morning. Isaac was very tearful, saying he didn't want to leave his friends. Watching him broke my heart. But, as the day went on, I could tell that he was processing it. He asked me several times if we were going to bring certain things from our house (the piano, his bed, his fish). The next day at school, this is what he wrote/drew for his Monday journal.

Not only am I extremely proud of his ability to sound out words to write them and his artistic ability, my heart is so full of love for this kid who has a whole lot of change coming.
