Isaac Turns 7!

Isaac was in Iowa for his actual birthday. His cousins had cupcakes and present for him while he was there. I wanted to wait until Eddy was home, but when a package came in the mail that I had ordered on-line, I HAD to let him open it!
Believe it or not, he asked for a new bike helmet. I had to oblige!

I don't really know how Isaac is seven years old. So many memories, pregnancy, his birth, first birthday, seeing Piper for the first time, waving goodbye to him EVERY DAY at pre-K, watching him grow through kindergarten...they are all so vivid in my mind.
Isaac is an awesome kid. No other word describes him better. He is a "feeler", wearing his feelings on his sleeve. Like his mom, he "feels things deeply". I think it is this trait that makes him really focus on his favorite things. Trains, dolphins, Power Rangers, and now the Teen Beach Movie, he wants to learn ALL about them. He is a very polite kid--please, thank you come easily. But he's also developed the skill of burping at will; such a boy! He and Piper can be the best, and worst, of friends. I try and let them work it out (as much as I can stand it!). He is learning the concept of money and watching him sound out words to read is incredible. He's learned how to snap, is uber comfortable rising his bike, and learned how to swim this summer! He does NOT want me to kiss him, but he is really good at giving me hugs. I am so lucky to be his mom.
