The Easy Way Out
So, there about 100 pictures on my camera that I need to download, so I'm taking the easy way out and posting a couple of pictures my dad sent! They came up before Christmas....got last minute shopping done and mom wanted to decorate cookies with Isaac. He still talks about the "sprinkles, green sugar, and red sugar"!

Taking a Few Minutes
Piper decided 5:30am was a good time to wake up to eat this morning, so rather than trying to go back to sleep for 30 minutes, I thought I'd get caught up on a few things.
Piper's starting to get the hang up sitting up. I propped her up in this picture though, as she has a tendency to fold in half after a few seconds!
On Thursday, Isaac and I baked chocolate chip cookies from dough that Eddy made earlier in the evening. They didn't have enough flour in them, so they spread out and melded together. So I thought it'd be fun to eat a monster cookie with him. He did too! Fast-forward to the next morning when Isaac wakes up and says "Momma, I got germs in my bed". Turns out he puked in his bed at some point in the night and went back to sleep without coming to get us. Poor guy. Poor me for having to clean it up. The next night he said "I no spit up in my bed, Mamma".
We took our fourth Polar Express ride last night! The first year Eddy and I went, we didn't have kids. Looking back on it, Eddy said last night that he still doesn't really understand why we went when we didn't have kids! I think we skipped the year Isaac was born, but since then have now gone 3 years in a row.
Waiting for the train to come.

The kids with Santa (for the third time already this season!).

Sleeping Piper at the end of the trip.

And just because I thought it'd be fun, here are pics of our little bell-ringers!

New Camera
Our digital camera has started to "act out". So instead of waiting until it completely stopped working, I thought it was time to look into getting a new one. After some research on-line and a trip to a local camera store, I left with a Nikon Coolpix S630. If funds were unlimited, I'd have gotten one with more features, but with Christmas coming, thought it was best to restrain myself (at least a little). So far I'm happy with the results.
Isaac and I took matters into our own hands and decided to put lights on the house.

Isaac was VERY excited to put decorations on the Chrismtas tree!

...and the results!

I think one of Isaac's favorite things is smiling for the camera with his sister.

This is what happened when I told Isaac I wasn't going to take any more pictures of him!

At a recent gathering of friends, we got all the kids to sit on the couch. 3 three-year olds, 1 two-year old, 1 one-year old, and 2 five-month olds! Isaac is wearing his Scooby Doo costume :)
Piper's gotten really good at lifting her head up and straightening her arms when she's on her tummy. It's so fun to watch her...and look at that cute tush!

This picture captures Piper's hair. It does that on its own!

Has it Really Been a Month?!
Wow. I can't believe a month has gone by since my last post. I was scolded by a member of my family recently for not posting, so I'm gettin' to it, before I get in trouble again!
Isaac had his first dentist appointment recently! The hygenist, Beth, goes to our church and was awesome with Isaac! As you can see from the picture, Isaac wasn't too sure about "Mr. Thirsty"!

But by the end of the appointment, he was ok enough to let her floss his teeth!

Isaac was VERY excited to go trick or treating this year! He is infatuated with Scooby Doo, so his outfit was fitting for him. When we brought Piper home from the hospital, she had a "pea in the pod" outfit on, so that too, was fitting.

How fantastic is my costume?!

I love this picture of my mom with the kids.

Isaac is such a little ham.

A self-portrait with my little girl after her bath.

I realized I hadn't gotten any naked girl pictures for quite a while...

We went to St. Cloud the weekend before Thanksgiving. Piper was enjoying a story read to her by Godfather Paul.

My sister was the "hostest with the mostest"...and yet still had time to have Isaac help her cook!

After we enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner, we thought it was time for Piper to try her first solid food. We think she loves rice cereal!

Grandma Judi was playing a fishing game with Isaac...as you can see, he's not interested in playing by the rules!

Piper and her cousin, Madi

And, at the end of the day, when it comes to pictures, we've learned to "take what we can get"!

Bentleyville opened last night. For those of you who don't live in Duluth--Bentleyville used to be at a guy's home--he decked out his yard with Christmas lights. Well it's gotten so big, that this year he moved it to Bayfront Festival Park. It's truly unbelievable--a site worth seeing!

Gotta love waiting in line to see Santa! (Notice me, the veteran mom, smiling through her child's screaming!)

And even after the screaming, we still got a great picture of the kids with Santa!

baptism
Piper was baptized on Sunday. We are so grateful to our brother-in-law Paul, and very good friend, Courtney, for agreeing to be Piper's Godparents. Deacon Chico, who we've known since I was in college, baptized her. She wore the baptismal gown that both my sister and I wore, which was so special. Piper's cousin, Madi, was also there. As I've mentioned before, the girls were born on the same day, so it will be a lifetime of fun pictures together!

October 21
So, I just have to vent for a minute...Are people living under rocks and missing the memo that says they should stay home if they have flu-like symptoms? Unless you can't breathe or keep fluids down...STAY HOME! Oh, and if you just HAVE to come in, wear a mask...and keep it on when I come into the room. There. That's my PSA for the day.
Ok. Moving on. Eddy got the flu Friday morning, and I was scheduled to work. After work, I picked the kids up, didn't let them out of the car as I packed, and we headed to my parents' house for the weekend. Eddy's doing a lot better, but the fatigue is lingering. So far the rest of us are healthy. Keep your fingers crossed. My Dad sent a few pictures from the weekend. Since I haven't downloaded pics lately, I'm going to post the ones he sent.
Dad took Isaac out for a walk in the woods...not sure why Isaac's hat is over his eyes!
My little girl.
Issac was sitting listening to a kids' music CD.
