Daily Life

Last Friday we didn't have daycare. So Eddy stayed home in the morning and I was home in the afternoon. I was running a few minutes late, so when I got home, I expected Eddy to be chomping at the bit to leave. Instead, this is what I found...


Saturday night we got a sitter. It was nice to have a night out with my hubby! I got a text from the sitter with this picture. Isaac lost ANOTHER tooth! Top right is the newest to be pulled. He's my Jack-o-lantern!


Sunday at church it was the preK/kindergarten Mass. The kids helps out with Mass, all sat together, and sang a song at the end. It was so fun to watch Isaac! Such a proud mama! He told me after, "I wasn't even scared, mom. I've been lookin' at these people for years". I guess he's comfortable at church! It was also fellowship Sunday, so there were donuts afterwards. Piper continues her pattern of only eating the icing. I guess she gets credit for being consistent!

Day Off

My parents came up for a visit on Monday. It was great because Isaac didn't have school, so he was able to spend more time with them.

Grandma Becky and Piper worked on a puzzle...


...while Isaac taught Grandpa J how to play Ticket To Ride.


Then they looked at books...


...and then it was Grandma's turn at Isaac's favorite game!


Befit they left, I realized I hadn't taken very many pictures. Piper was already napping, but we got one more.


We had a great visit and while the kids were playing with their grandparents, I was able to do some window shopping for a new washer and dryer. Not the most fun thing, but VERY grateful to not have children with!

Rest of the Weekend

After some yummy Chinese for dinner, there were (a few more) photo ops...











Piper (once again) proves she doesn't really like donuts/cake/etc, she just likes the icing/frosting/etc...





Sunday morning, we were lazy...


But eventually got dressed and (of course) took a few more pictures.

Piper really loved being around her uncle/Godfather this trip!

Weekend with My Kids

With Eddy ice fishing with friends, I packed up the kids after work and headed to St. Cloud (again!) for the weekend. Isaac and Piper haven't seen Jason in a month and they were due! I was able to get out of work on time and we had a quick supper at the Golden Arches. They did really well on the drive down. We didn't really see Jason that night, but have had lots of time to hold him so far today!




Isaac absolutely LOVES holding his baby cousin.




And I think Piper gets excited because she's bigger than someone for a change!




Piper and her Godfather were having fun on the couch...until I wanted to take a picture.




But after some reverse psychology, I was able to get a good one!




They were singing "The Wheels On The Bus".




After lunch we went to a self-serve frozen yogurt shop...even with the freezing temps! True Minnesotans, right?!








A usual, Piper took her own sweet time eating. This is the look I got when I told her it was time to go.




Then we went to the mall. Piper found this fuzzy pink hat and fell in love with it. I couldn't resist!




She pranced out of the store she was so happy!




Isaac had fun playing in the germ-infested kid play area...




Chinese take-out is on the menu for dinner, along with lots more cuddling time with baby Jason!

Little Man

I got to spend the weekend with the cutest little boy...who just happens to be my nephew and Godson! So hard to leave when we had such an awesome time!

We hung out while his parents wen shopping...





...and watched TV together...


...and had some meaningful conversation...


...and sat in the backseat of the car together on our way to Kohl's...


...and had a blast being superman...


...and telling me how awesome I am as an auntie...


...and you were kind enough to let your Mommy be in a picture...

Kids

Piper had a day last week that she wasn't feeling well. She usually doesn't fall asleep on the couch.


Eddy was in Chicago for 5 days for a baseball convention. One night the kids and I had a bedtime snack and Isaac and I played "Ticket to Ride", a train board game we gave him for his birthday.





Piper has wanted a side pony in her hair lately. With her taking naps, the hair doesn't stay in the pony very well. So I French braided it over to the side and then put a pony in it. Love it!


We gave the kids a donut maker for Christmas so we tried it out last weekend. Yummy!


This past week flew by! And now I'm in St. Cloud, hanging out with my adorable nephew (and I suppose my sister and her hubby!). It's been nice just to hang around the house and not have any plans. They went out to do some shopping, so here's what I've been doing...

While we were in Sartell for Christmas, Lindsey and Paul asked Eddy and I to be Jason's Godparents! What a special gift. We are so honored!

And because I haven't posted enough pictures of our Godson on this blog, here are a bunch more of him with family over the holiday! Grandparents with the THREE cousins!
