Can it really be spring?!

The past few days have been absolutely beautiful. Yesterday we pushed the kids on the swingset. This afternoon we met friends on the lakewalk. Fun days!

Busy Week

I took the kids to St. Cloud for a few days while Eddy's been in Florida. I actually took the whole week off of work. The idea of getting ready for work, bringing the kids to daycare, picking up from daycare and bedtime routine by myself for a week was anxiety-producing, so it was great I could take the opportunity to not work. Here's a few snipits from our time with Auntie Lindsey and Uncle Paul.

Auntie Lindsey and the kids.
At the local grocery store, there's a mechanical horse ride that costs a PENNY. Can you imagine being a check-out person at that store?
Uncle Paul and Isaac took turns feeding each other Spaghetti Os. Isaac hadn't ever had them before. After a few bites, he spit them back out in the bowl and tried to feed Uncle Paul!! He politely declined after that!
Isaac loves to play with his sister. It'll be interesting when she's old enough to fight back!
Lindsey made yummy cupcakes to celebrate our b-days, and she even let me blow out the candles...with Isaac's help of course!
Piper was attemping to reach for a toy and ended up face-planting into a wooden train. First shiner!
Uncle Paul teasing Piper--trying to get her to go from sitting to her tummy to reach for his glasses, which are much more enticing than a toy!
Us on St. Patty's Day

Piper is posing in front of a picture of a Piper airplane that Grandma Becky was able to get for her for Christmas. It's a pretty cool story. She Googled the company and told them about Piper and that Piper's great grandpa used to fly small aircraft. They shipped this picture to her, so Piper could have it.

Happy Birthday to Me!!

It's my 30th b-day! I found this picture awhile back--it's of me at my first birthday. I'm so grateful that my parents took pictures. They're fun to look back on! And in a weird coincidence, it wasn't until after Isaac's first birthday when I found this picture and realized I made the same cake for him!

Birthdays for me have taken on a whole new meaning now that I am a parent. It's not just about a kid celebrating a special day, it's about parents, remembering one of the best days of their lives.

I'm pretty excited to be 30. What's not to be excited about?! I have a wonderful husband, a great house, a job I love, awesome friends and family, and best of all, two beautiful children. Here's to an amazing year.

Day At The Dome

Isaac, Piper, and I went to the Dome on Monday to watch UWS baseball play their first game of the season! My dad, Uncle Mike, Aunt Diane, and Grandma were also able to come. It was awesome to have family there! I haven't downloaded pics from our camera yet, but here's a few my dad sent.

It was a surprise that Uncle Mike came--it was awesome to be able to see him, have him see my amazing kids, and support UWS!

I think Piper has a special connection with Grandma Marie!
