W was shotgun, and the other kids were strapped in, ready to go!
We made our way to Piedmont Elementary where they have free breakfast daily.
Then they played on the playground.
And apparently needed a break after playing for 30 minutes.
Then it was on to the Great Lakes Aquarium. On our way down the hill, we drove past our first house on Hillcrest Drive. At the aquarium, W was like a shepard, corralling his little lambs, having them look at all the tanks. He was so awesome!
They "walked the plank" so I could get this picture.
After almost two hours there, we headed back to Piedmont where they also serve lunch. Here we met up with some friends who live around the corner from us.
After more playing on the playground, it was kool-aid and fruit snack break!
And after more playing, we went to DQ for some ice cream. The girls...
....and the guys.
On our way to our next destination, we made a pit stop at St Scholastica. It was awesome I think that Eddy and I, along with B and C's parents, met at Scholastica. All four of us also got our Bachelor's and Master's there (the guys in management and the ladies in nursing!). This place has been an integral part of our lives. So fun to take this lucre, thinking that maybe our kids' futures will lead them here.
We then went to the Big Lake, by way of the 21st Ave entrance. Piper scored a ride!
And pretty soon W was flanked by two little girls. So cute!
The kids had fun throwing rocks and climbing.
By the time we were done at the Lakewalk, it was 4:45, and I was planning on bringing the kids home...but then W asked if we could go to a beach. How could I turn his request down? So across the lift bridge and to Park Point we went!
Such attitude!
The kids buried W's feet...
I love this picture.
W did a great job of snapping a picture for me.
And then B wanted to take a picture of W and me.
Buddies!
Pure happiness!
After dropping W off at home, we went back to B and C's house and had supper.
It was an awesome, awesome day!!
