Piper's (almost done) Room

If it weren't for the decorative paint treatment I want to do on one wall in Piper's room, her room would be completely done!

Our awesome neighbor painted it pink a few weeks ago. I didn't think the trim/doors needed to be painted, but once the fresh paint was up, the rest looked bad. It's taken a few different blocks of time to paint it, but now it's done. Eddy and I put up the pictures up on the walls last night. I got the headboard last summer at a garage sale for $2. A can of black spray paint later, and I'm pleased with how it came out.

I bought this letter "P" on super clearance from Michael's about two years ago! I've been waiting until the crib was gone and her room painted before I did anything with it. Thanks to several ideas on Pinterest, this is what I came up with!

The plane is a Piper airplane. I think I've blogged about it before. My mom contacted the company about getting a picture of their plane, and they UPS'd this to her! The picture on the right is the bedtime prayer I grew up saying and was in my room growing up! We say it now each night as a family.

I think she likes her room!!

Nice work! Love the colors. We just finished painting the living room and I know what you mean - a fresh coat of paint makes the rest look bad. Now the trim needs to be done! Next up is Ashlynn's room since we've had the pink paint for a year now! Hope Piper is nice and cozy in her new room!

Beautiful room! The P frame is a real eye catcher -- love it!
